During September 23-26, 2008, the SMM 2008 international fair took place in Hamburg - Germany, the leading shipbuilding fair.
1950 companies from 56 countries exhibited their products, the main fair objects being shipbuilding, naval equipment, propulsion systems, control systems, electric and electronic installations projects for naval use, naval services over an area of 87 000 sqm.
The fair was opened by the German ministry of economy and technology, Mr. Michael Glos – representative of the German Chancellor Angela Merkel, during an official ceremony; more than 500 guests attended the event, businessmen and government representatives.
Romania participated with an exhibition stand of 152 sqm, where 11 Romanian companies exhibited their products:

- Menarom PEC SA, Metchim SA, Mibarom Resita SRL
- Microplasma SRL, Only SRL, PA Libra
- Resita Reductoare SA, - Unio SA.
For this fair, ADS provided the design/project of the exhibition stand, the stand’s construction and setup, the stand’s assembly and disassembly, rental of the exhibiting space, media and marketing services, transportation of the promotion materials and assistance during the fair through a company representative.
